Course Preamble

Automation is one of the fastest growing segments in very huge and gigantic Process Industries to small plants. Today, all the machineries working in the plants, workshop and even at our home are fully automated with instrumentation and computerized control system. This was possible only because of the science instrumentation. In scientific terms, instrumentation is defined as the art and science of measurement and control of process variables within a production, or manufacturing area. The process variables used in industries are Level, Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Speed, Vibration, Force, Humidity, pH, Conductivity, Percentage of Oxygen and gas in surrounding Atmosphere, etc.

Different From Others

Other institutes including Engineering Colleges use just mere Training Kits fitted in demonstration boards in their practical labs and they have no live relation with real time process and manufacturing Plants, but in TITT we use only Real Plant Process Instruments for Practical Section to students, they are obtained from Real Industrial Working Plants, so they are real instruments than mere training kits.

  • This uniqueness makes TITT’s students also unique in Practical Knowledge.
  • This Uniqueness highly helps TITT’s students to score marks job interviews in both Theoretical ViVA and Practical Test, because they are familiar with Real Process Control Instruments.
  • This Uniqueness helps TITT’s students to easily be simulated with working atmosphere immediately on entering into job in any type of sophisticated plant without anybody’s help, because they are already familiar with the Real Industrial Instruments in TITT Lab and Operational Working Mini Plants of TITT.

Our Faculty

  • TITT Faculties have wide international experience and exposure to Process Control Instrumentation.
  • TITT Faculties have up-to-date exposure to the latest developments of Process Control Instrumentation. Most of them are retired after long service in modern Instrumentation Fields in India and Abroad.
  • Some of TITT Faculties teach in TITT during their vacations, who work in companies abroad where they look after the Instrumentation Departments.
  • TITT Faculties not only teach the practical tests of Instrumentation, but also share with the students the situations faced by the Instrumentation Professionals in the fields.
  • The Engineering Colleges have faculties with higher qualifications like M.Tech or PhD, but they are only teaching professional and have no Industrial or real plant experience. TITT faculties have long year’s real plant experience, so they are able to train the students with Real Plant Instruments and Operational Working Mini Plants in TITT Lab and also can share onsite experience with each Process Instruments and their Individual professional experienced events regarding Process Control Instrumentation.
  • This makes the faculty in TITT unique.

Carrier and Scope of Instrument Technician

The demand for skilled Instrumentation and Control Technicians has never been greater in the fastest growing processing and manufacturing Industries around the globe. Today, more and more skilled Instrument Technician are required to Construct and Maintain the automated equipment and machineries in processing and manufacturing industries Like: Oil and Gas (Onshore and Offshore), Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Iron & Steel, Cement, Power generation, water & sewage treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage production and textile industries, etc. Instrument Technician are required in Construction, Commissioning and maintenance of plant to carry out installation, removal, repair, calibration and carryout preventive / corrective maintenance of various instrument used to measure different process variable for smooth operation, maximum Production, better quality and safety.
